Brock Softball Team

Brock Softball Wins the Brock Classic Tournament

The Brock Lady Eagle softball team captured the championship of the Brock Classic after defeating Salado in the final 15-5.  The Lady Eagles fell behind 5-2 in the top of the fifth after a 3 run homer by Salado.  The Lady Eagles responded by scoring 13 runs in the bottom of the fifth to run rule Salado and win the tournament championship.  Brock won their pool with wins over Salado, Amarillo Tascosa, and Midland Christian.  They also beat Canyon Randall in a non-pool game.  The first place finish in pool play earned the team a spot in the Gold Bracket where they faced Weatherford in the semifinal.  The Lady Eagles defeated Weatherford 11-1 in five innings to advance to the final where they defeated Salado for a second time in the tournament.

Brock CX Debate Team Wins District

CX Debate Team

District 7-3A recently held their CX Debate District Competition at Brock High School.  The team from Brock captured 1st place in District in policy cross-examination debate.  The team of Peyton Wakefield and Harrison Loewes placed second and will advance to state.  The team of Sage Boleman and Cale Cadle placed fourth which qualified them to serve as alternates.  The team of Andrew White and Brayden Gentsch placed fifth.  Congratulations to the Debate Team!

UIL Realignment

UIL LogoThe UIL announced the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 reclassification and realignment for Football, Basketball and Volleyball (all other sports will be announced in March).

NHS Members

Brock National Honor Society Holds Blood Drive

The Brock High School National Honor Society, in conjunction with Carter Blood Care, held the second of three blood drives it will hold this year as part of the Society’s ongoing community service.  With the flu season in full force there is a shortage of blood in area blood banks.  Over thirty Brock students, teachers and parents showed up to give blood to help alleviate the shortage.  The NHS will hold its third drive on April 26th, in the High School library.
